Boiler service and repair in Islington, Camden and Haringey
- Any work on a gas boiler, gas fire or gas pipework must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Check the engineer's ID card and the register before work starts.
- Landlords must have every gas appliance and flue they provide checked every 12 months and give existing tenants a copy of the record within 28 days.
- London water is hard. Ask whether a scale reducer or magnetic filter is fitted, as limescale and sludge are common causes of combi boiler faults.
- Keep the service record. Most manufacturer warranties require an annual service by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
